APEC demonstration

I went to have a look at the protest on Saturday. Vin and I got there kinda late it was definitely worth it. I’ve never been to a protest before but there was a strange mix of hippies, rock stars, selective school kids, religious nuts and homeless dudes. How would you feel if there was a fence around your home?

how can you spell that incorrectly? Or am I missing a joke…

Peace pipe. She looks like the granny from Requiem for a Dream

This guy was yelling at the cops for a while about how they can participate in this fascist stifling of rights and yadda yadda. They were just looking straight through him for ages and until he said something along the lines of “you spend fuckin’ …” and before you could blink about 5 cops jumped on him and pulled him across the road. I guess he must have put up a fight because suddenly there was about 10 cops on top of him.

Then all these protesters rushed over and were yelling things like “you’re hurting him him” and chanting “This is not a police state. We have the right to demonstrate!”

Is it just me or does this guy look sprung. They were checking these guys bags.

These were my favorite protesters of the day.

There was also a large contingency of Falun Gong people protesting The Chinese Communist party’s persecution, murder, torture, not to mention organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners for the last 8 years.
